Trained in the
United States of America, Maryann is primarily known as a landscape painter and a Shakespearean illustrator. Her works are in private collections and galleries in Europe and North America. Her landscape paintings are en plein air style (literally painting in the open air) compositions that evolve from abstract design to integrate design, color, proportions and balance, and to present poignant images or versions of reality edited by the artist. Maryann’s landscapes are metaphors representing clarity of thought.

Recent works include the 36”x 36”oil painting entitled Millbrook Marsh #1 for Joseph Pasda” for the permanent collection at Millbrook Marsh Environmental Center at Pennsylvania State University, Pennsylvania U.S.A. Twelve prints presented to New Presbyterian Weill Cornell Hospital, 525 E. 68th St. New York City “The Art of Trees” for Child Life Program 2007; The Pennsylvania State University Lehigh Valley Campus Fogelsville “The Promise of Penn State” January 2008.
